The 2009-2010 seasons was an interesting one
for the Green Bay Packers. From the first activity during the preseason against
the Cleveland Browns where the Packers won by a shut out 17-0. The Packers took
all the rest of the preseason games except the preseason closing activity. The
Pro Bowl countdown is enough to keep many fans on the edge of their seats. With
less than two weeks away, there's a lot of excitement in the air. The month of
January has had no shortage of events when it comes to the Packers though.
Near the beginning of January, quarterback
Aaron Rodgers began his recovery after a rough start this season. Although
Rodgers finished with a low 1.3 interception percentage on seven interceptions,
it wasn't the biggest say for the quarterback, who later completed a franchise
playoff record with 422 yards and four touchdowns to tie the team playoff record.
The encounter against the Cardinals went into overtime, but there wasn't a lot
of your energy and attempt for the Packers to take the win. The encounter
definitively went to the Cardinals with a win 51-45.
The following day was one of reflection and hurt
as the Packers loss their probability to advance to the finals. The momentum
took an upturn however as Charles Woodson was named AP defensive player of the
season. Woodson gave credit to defensive coordinator Dom Capers, who just
finished his first season with the Packers. The Packers joined with Sargento to
raise $90,000 for "Touchdowns For Charity" and towards the end of the
month there was cause for celebration as a Wisconsin young lady won the
national punt, pass and kick title. Most agree that the youth of the offense
has room to grow but beyond, there are questions that will only be answered
eventually.
